Itinerary  “Comiso among art, science and culture” 

from  9:00 am to 15:00 pm 

 

Comiso - Fonte Diana Square and Erbe Square together with Mother Church and the Municipal Art Gallery that hosts the Foundation Gesualdo Bufalino, established thanks to the donation of many of the writer’s books. You can also visit the civic museum dealing with natural history. There is the Cappuccini Church having a wooden inlaid altar, and a small statue of the Virgin Mary whose features are rather delicate. In the death chapel there are exposed -  according to the Capuchins' traditions - some mummies of religious people, and of famous people, as well. Then you will reach the Annunziata Church, characterized by a baroque front; it erects in a majestic way above a staircase in Papa Giovanni XXIII Street. Moreover, you can visit the San Francesco all'Immacolata Church which has been declared as a national monument
